Your fashion show always makes a statement during Copenhagen Fashion Week - how do you prepare it for this season's AW17? The show and collection are my thoughts for the moment, it represents the world that surround me. I get my inspiration from conversation with people and friends. Traveling, art, theatre. This is my preparation.

What trends do you believe in for the next season? (AW17) I dont really work with trends. Its a bit hard to say but I definitely believe in well crafted garments with a long life which I think is tendency. Collections are getting smaller and more to the point.

Can you give us a few hints about the inspiration behind the collection? (AW17) I’ve worked with a lot of workwear inspirations from the early 1900-hundreds and once again I’ve tried to find the beauty in different kinds of quality of paper and some of the color nuances I see in these time-worn photographs.

You are inspired by your Chinese roots - in what way does living in Copenhagen influence your designs? The city is where I'm based so the influence of Copenhagen is big. There is a certain closeness in Copenhagen.

What is the key item for this season? (SS17) We have a worker’s inspired jacket with traditional cotton lining so I think it sums up the thoughts of the collection and my philosophy of design beautifully. The inside of garments matters too.

Where do you get your coffee/tea? My husband mostly makes my morning coffee or i drink it at bon marche, Ny Østergade Copenhagen.

What would you recommend people to visit in Copenhagen? People should go see some of the beautiful architecture of Copenhagen. There is also a beautiful library at Charlottenborg Kunsthal in the centre.
